Our story
We built WiQ because great shops shouldn’t lose customers to a clipboard.
Queue management built in a barber shop, for barber shops — and every salon that shares the same problem.
Where it started
WiQ started with a single barber shop: City Fades. Before WiQ, walk-ins were managed the old way — a name on a piece of paper, a shout across the shop, a guess at how long the next cut would take. Customers would leave, come back, leave again. Barbers lost track. Owners had no way to see what a busy Saturday afternoon actually looked like.
So we built the thing we needed. A kiosk that lets customers check in themselves. A barber-facing view that shows who’s next and who’s waiting. An admin dashboard that gives the owner a real-time picture of the shop floor without leaving the chair.
What WiQ does today
Customer kiosk
Customers check in on a tablet at the door — no app to download, no text to send.
Barber-side view
Every barber sees who’s next, who’s waiting, and which service they’re in for.
Admin dashboard
Real-time shop floor visibility, cash reconciliation, and loyalty tracking in one place.
Multi-shop ready
Each shop gets isolated data, its own settings, and its own queue. Built for owners with more than one location.
How we build
WiQ runs on a modern, reliable stack — React, Supabase, deployed on AWS. We take uptime seriously because a broken kiosk during peak Saturday hours is a real problem. We ship fast, fix things when they break, and build in public with our users.
We’re a small team. If you run a shop and you’ve got feedback, we actually want to hear it.
